Weekly Tool Application: Formative Assessment "CANVAS"
I am reflecting on how the tool "Canvas" worked with some students in our district.
CVHS uses the Canvas tool for two of our online learning classes in our district. The other LMS we use is BrainHoney with GradPoint. These are two very different systems Canvas and BrainHoney.

Below are two screen shots of Canvas. The students' seem to like Canvas. It is easy to navigate through the course and modules. One dislike I have found, no matter how often you remind the students, is activating the notifications settings. I would like to see a notifications default that is used for this setting for students. So, if the student did not go to their notifications setting they would still get communications. I would eventually like to create a mini-module lesson on navigating through Canvas before a student starts the course.
Some teachers and students are unaware of CANVAS and CSD Docs tools. I just learned of them recently thanks to the training of our Ed Tech Maria. Well I should say I was aware of them but did not take the time to use them. Great technology to use. We should have a mandatory training for these. :o)
